Job overview Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Band 6 Internal Secondment/Fixed Term Contract - 12 months - 37.5 hours per week (3 long days per week) - Term Time Only Bexley Home Treatment team have an exciting opportunity for fix term band 6 RMN to join our well-established team which provides a 24-hour crisis resolution and home treatment to the residents in the Borough of Bexley. Come and join a successful and dynamic service which has recently been Accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatry, in providing an effective alternative to inpatient treatment for people in mental health crisis, 365 days a year. The Home Treatment Team is an essential component of the Crisis Care Concordat 2014 and forms part of comprehensive borough-based crisis services, alongside the Mental Health Liaison, CAT car and Crisis Café. The team is multi-disciplinary and employs a number of nursing, medical, social work and support staff who work closely to provide a viable alternative to hospital admission with a focus on a social systems approach. The team also support and facilitate early discharge from the inpatient mental health wards, Gatekeep all referrals for inpatient care, and carry out assessments of people referred by PCP and arrange urgent assessment. Main duties of the job The post is suitable for a Registered mental health Nurse with recent experience in an acute adult inpatient, crisis or community mental health setting. You should enjoy working within a busy and challenging environment and must be able to work effectively under pressure. You will have a sound knowledge of mental illness and therapeutic interventions for crisis resolution and competence in mental health assessment. You will be creative and innovative in your approach and will work collaboratively with patients and their careers in the formulation of care and crisis plans.

£40,701 - £48,054 Per Annum
