A fabulous opportunity due to new monies has enabled us to provide an opportunity to expand our workforce in our specialist Children in Care Team within our excellent CAMHS service. We are looking to employ a Mental Health Practitioner to work with our Children and Young People in Care population and their carers where necessary. The role will enable you to work both with the young people whom are placed in care and with the professional systems around the children to support them to meet their needs. We are keen to employ colleagues with professional registration/accreditation to work within our service. You need to have a professional registration in a recognised profession and have experience in working with looked after children and young people. If you want to know more please make contact. The main duties of this role are to facilitate and support assessment, treatment and consultation for children and young people in care. The successful applicant will coordinate professional meetings to build an understanding, amongst the team around the child, of the child's mental and emotional needs. The applicant will also deliver evidence based, formulation driven therapy to support Children/young people to achieve wellness and stability in the face of the challenges that they face.
