AAAS Specialist Practitioner

Black Country Healthcare Foundation Trust are looking for 2 motivated individuals to work in our Adult ADHD & Autism Service (AAAS) as a Band 6 Specialist Practitioner. The service is for people over 16 years referred for assessment, diagnosis and treatment interventions for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Attention Deficit Hyper activity Disorder (ADHD) Main duties of the job: As the successful post holder, you will primarily be involved in managing a designated caseload and supporting the assessment pathway for ADHD and ASD, including the development of person centred plans. You will work with the wider team in the responsibility of conducting diagnostic assessments such as Diagnostic Interview for Social and Communication Disorders (DISCO) or ADI-R/ ADOS assessment for patients to aid diagnosis, using the appropriate software (training will be provided for the successful applicant as required). You will work as part of the AAAS Multi-disciplinary team, being involved in diagnosis decision making and effective team working, including the preparation of reports. The post will enable you to develop specialist skills within a supportive team structure, with regular supervision and the opportunity to develop links both locally and nationally with the ADHD and ASD network.
