Our Surgical Team is Growing
To meet the current surgical demands, we have restructured our teams across all surgical specialties at Wythenshawe Hospital. To ensure a patient responsive service and allow our nursing teams to be fully supported, we have increased our Band 6 Nursing Workforce across all our surgical wards.
What the role entails:
• Supporting the ward manager to ensure the delivery of high quality care, and support the wider nursing team as an advocate and role model
• Opportunities across Trauma and Orthopaedics, Burns and Plastics, General Surgery, Breast and Urology within elective and non-elective areas.
What we need from you:
• Nursing Registration with the NMC
• Minimum of 12 months experience in an acute hospital setting
• Excellent clinical skills
• Commitment to providing excellent standards of care as well as promoting positive patient experiences
• Flexibility to meet the needs of the service
What we will provide:

• Ongoing support and training
• Access to CPD for every nurse across the Organisation
• Band 6 development programme- targeted for either newly promoted band 6 or aspiring ward managers
