Job Summary
To work in a low or medium secure setting
Provide high quality clinical care that is evidence-based, open to monitoring and evaluation, and clinically effective
Working in low or medium secure settings with predominantly mentally disordered offenders or patients who may have a diagnosis of a learning disability, autism or ADHD and may have an offending history.
About us:
Ellesmere House is a 12 bedded low secure Learning Disability unit. We cater for individuals who have complex needs and include primarily a learning disability but may also possess autism and/or mental health issues. The client group may also but not exclusively require partnership working with agencies such as the Criminal Justice System and Home Office.
Ellesmere has a full range of specialized provision including our own consultant, psychology, social worker and an enhanced OT/activities coordinator provision. We are an integrated team and very much work together as a team. The nursing team is a committed group as are the entire team overall as a unit.
The Hatherton Centre is a 47-bedded medium-secure facility incorporating an intensive care ward, acute assessment ward and rehabilitation wards.
The Clee unit (in Shropshire) is a 32 bedded low secure mental illness unit.
