Registered Nurse - Stroke

Are you interested in finding out more about nursing within our Stroke team? Here are some of the reasons our team are unique. Our large and passionate multidisciplinary team work together to deliver state of the art stroke care. Services we provide include regional thrombectomy, thrombolysis, hyper-acute and acute stroke care and rehabilitation. We lead the West of England’s specialised thrombectomy centre, a life-saving procedure which reverses the effects of severe strokes. We receive national investment, extra staff training, and are currently the second busiest service in the country. Our nurses are involved in the holistic treatment of patients at all stages of their journey. We offer a named therapist, an individualised treatment plan, and therapy sessions at beside or within our therapy rooms and gym to achieve the best outcomes for patients in our care. We are proud to support progression and have supported colleagues to gain the skills needed progress their careers into leadership positions, specialist neuroscience nursing roles, and advanced practitioner professions.
