So, you’re eager to learn more about our Short Stay Medicine Ward at North Bristol NHS Trust. Here are some of the reasons we’re unique... Gate 26B is a 32 bedded ward consisting of 8 step down Cardiology beds and 24 bed general medicine, we look after a broad range of medical issues of all ages so this will give you a great opportunity to widen your knowledge. We receive patients direct from Admissions unit Cardiology Our ward is fast paced, led by a dynamic multidisciplinary team which all work closely together. It consists of a permeant Medical Consultant, different Specialist Cardiology doctors, Heart Failure Nurse Physiotherapists, Occupational staff, discharge team to help with the quick turnaround of patient discharges. New staff will have great support from the experienced Band 6’s and 7 working on the ward, as well as the friendliness and helpfulness of all the other nurses on the ward.
