Do you have a passion for Sexual Health and Health Promotion? We have a rare opportunity for you to become part of the Sexual Health team. We are offering a Band 5 development role within our service. The role will include training in all areas of sexual health leading to a Band 6 Sexual Health Nurse Specialist on the successful completion of training. The training programme can last up to 2 years. Training will include assessing, the diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, counselling and provision of contraception, health promotion and preventative care. Working with the diverse groups within Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland including young people, outreach clinics and diverse groups. This role will appeal to nurses who have an interest in sexual health but have not been able to achieve development opportunities. A background in gynaecology would be advantageous but newly qualified nurses with an interest in a future in the speciality of sexual health are welcome to apply.
