Job overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Staff Nurses to join the team on Ward 24 at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. A high level of support will be offered in the department for new starters, along with a structured induction which will help to develop your skills and teach you the knowledge you will need to succeed. Main duties of the job To be responsible for assessing individual patient care needs and developing, implementing and evaluating plans of care for a group of patients in accordance with agreed policies and professional guidelines. To take charge of the ward for a span of duty, normally working under the supervision of senior staff. To work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
