Kingston University offers excellent teaching across a range of disciplines, combined with industry-leading research. It is also widely acclaimed for its work boosting social mobility, ensuring graduates emerge from their degree programmes sought after for their knowledge, innovation, and skills.

Following consultation with government, businesses and employers, the University’s sector-leading Future Skills initiative will ensure all students are equipped with vital skills and attributes during their degrees to meet the future needs of the UK workforce.

Kingston is currently home over to 18,500 students, who enjoy learning in a beautiful historic borough of Greater London, whilst gaining valuable pre-registration experience in the capital.

The University offers courses including nursing, midwifery, education, social work, pharmacy, pharmacology, biomedical, pharmaceutical and forensic science, nutrition, and research; as well as a range of workforce development modules and study days to support the NHS and other health and social care providers.

Nationally, Kingston is second for Mental Health Nursing and fifth for Children’s Nursing. It is also top in London and 11th in the UK for Midwifery (Guardian University Guide 2023).

The award-winning skills and simulations suite provides a safe learning environment whilst training, with opportunities for inter-professional work across the health and education sectors, bringing students together to learn from each other. Kingston works with employers and partners to ensure students get the best possible practical experience - enabling them to prepare effectively for the workplace and support them to ensure they get the skills needed to make a lasting impact on society.
