About the founder: Professor Natasha Phillips RN

I am a nurse leader with over thirty years of experience. Committed to nursing excellence, I have led numerous local and national change programme that incorporate digital technologies and data science alongside the development of nurse leaders and cultures for change.

I am an organisation development practitioner and clinical academic with a particular interest in leading change in complexity, where I combine academic rigour with a flair for engaging others to deliver successful change programmes – these include the first real time nursing outcomes dashboard, a nationally recognised ward accreditation programme with a robust data model and the first successful implementation of an enterprise wide electronic patient record (EPR) in the UK.

Experienced in policy making I have led the development of several national strategies and frameworks including, National Digital Clinical Safety Strategy, Guidance for Nursing on What Good Looks Like, and the Phillips Ives Review – preparing nurses and midwives for the digital age.

My policy influence extends to the global arena; as an Alumni of the International Council of Nursing (ICN) Global Nurse Leadership Institute (GNLI), I collaborate with the ICN and World Health Organisation to influence and inform digital healthcare strategies.

In 2022 I was recognised by the HSJ, appearing on their Wildcards list recognising my place in influencing policy, and in 2019 I won Digital Health CNIO of the year.
