Digital Health and Care Wales

Digital Health and Care Wales is an NHS Wales Special Health Authority (SHA). We work in partnership with NHS Wales colleagues and other key stakeholders to provide digital and data services which support the delivery of health and social care.

One of our flagship programmes is the Welsh Nursing Care Record (WNCR) – a digital system that is transforming the way nurses record, store and access patient information.

The WNCR ensures that all care givers have access to the same, up-to-date information, across a patient's healthcare journey.

These new digital documents have a standardised nursing language, improving accuracy and making it easier to share information.
