NTCL London and South East November 2022

NTCL London and South East November 2022

Dear Delegates,

Welcome to Nursing Times Careers Live London & South East. Today is all about helping you take the next step in your career and is designed to make it easy for you to meet potential new employers.

You will have the chance to talk to staff about working at their organisation, training and development opportunities, and what the local area is like. They may invite you to an interview on the spot and you could event walk away with a new job!

We also have a great speaker programme, with guests including Diane Jones, chief nursing officer for NHS North East London Integrated Care Board, who will talk about career opportunities in the region, and Deborah Small, chief nursing officer at the Cleveland Clinic London, who will share tips on developing your personal career brand.

Our career spotlight panel features Roxanne Mahroof, alcohol clinical nurse specialist at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, Star Tshabalala, a digital nurse specialist at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, and Siobhan Warne, clinical supervision project lead and lead professional nurse advocate at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.

As ever, we will be hosting a student reception to give you the opportunity to discuss placements, preceptorship and future careers. Our panel includes our 2021 Most Inspirational Student Nurse of the Year Sianne Chinnoyelum Chinwuba, now a paediatric staff nurse at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, and 2019-20 Nursing Times student editor Cheyne Truman, a staff nurse at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust and lecturer in adult nursing at the University of Essex.

Plus, make sure you enter our two prize draws. Collect the codes from our exhibitors, enter them on the prize draw leaflet and hand it to the prize draw desk for a chance to win. For full terms and conditions and further information please refer to the back of this guide.

Thank you to our speakers – Diane, Deborah, Roxanne, Star, Siobhan, Sianne and Cheyne.

I would also like to thank our exhibitors.

Share your thoughts and tweet using the hashtag #NTCL. Happy job hunting!

Best wishes

Steve Ford, editor, Nursing Times and chair of Nursing Times Careers Live
