Senior Theatre Practitioner/Team Leader - Benynon (Day Case) Band 6

We are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic registered practitioner to join our Theatre Team. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Team Leader in the Beynon Theatre Suite. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic practitioner with plenty of experience at Band 5. The department is a lively environment consisting of seven operating theatres which encompass a wide variety of specialities. As a Band 6 you will be expected to take an active role in co-ordinating the day to day running of the department and be expected to make decisions and problem solve as needed. As a key member of the senior team, you will deliver high standards of perioperative care and have the ability to support and develop theatre practitioners to facilitate excellent patient care in theatres. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills and the drive and motivation necessary to successfully lead and prioritise the demands of a busy and challenging environment. You must be a qualified RGN or ODP and be enthusiatic about teaching a supporting learners in the clinical environment. Previous experience in Colorectal, Urology or Breast surgery would be desirable.
