Eligibility - Age - You must be aged 20 - 52 when you start training. You need to be a minimum height of 145 cm with a Body Mass Index (BMI) no greater than 28 - Education – Graduate /Postgraduate/ Relevant Experience as Registered Nurse Adult (RNA). You must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), without restrictions - Students can apply in 2nd year of training. - Salary – Daily rates of pay equivalent to those of full-time personnel plus 9.5% in addition to salary when mobilised. - Holiday – Paid leave in proportion to the number of training days attended - Benefits – Automatic membership of the non-contributory Armed Forces Pension Scheme. - Courses – Professionally recognised and fully funded courses. What You’ll Get. - Pay and Benefits – Expenses and allowances when undergoing training. Access to sports and fitness facilities. Opportunities for adventurous training (AT). Annual tax-free bounty subject to meeting the minimum training commitment. - Depending on your Employer you are entitled to at least 1 week’s special paid leave to enable you to complete the 24 days commitment required. Skills for Life - Attain NHS accredited qualifications through military service that are directly relevant to your civilian medical occupation e.g. Immediate Life Support (ILS) and any specialisation courses relevant to your specific clinical area.
