Welcome to Nursing Times Careers Live North West (Manchester). Today is all about helping you take the next step in your career and to make it easy for you to meet potential new employers.

You will have the chance to talk to staff about working at their organisation, the training and development on offer, and what the local area is like. They may invite you to an interview on the spot!

We also have a great speaker programme and mentor networking opportunities, including a special session to mark the NHS 75th anniversary this year. History researchers James Owens and Kelly Swaby will be celebrating the contribution of nursing to the NHS since 1948.

Meanwhile, our career spotlight panel features Joy Allen, senior infection control nurse at Kirklees Council. Later, you will also get to hear from nurses employed by HCA Healthcare UK working at their organisation.

As ever, we will be hosting a student reception to discuss placements, preceptorship and future careers. Join 2023 Student Nursing Times Awards winners John Wells and Bethan Jones.
